Fomm ir-Rih is the most isolated bay on Malta. Its seclusion and the fact that it is relatively difficult to get to has left the bay totally undeveloped. It lies near Bahrija, but is not easy to reach. The last stretch to the bay involves a considerable hike, but the effort is worth it. The bay provides excellent swimming in clear waters and one of the most peaceful spots, even in the peak summer months. It is also good for snorkelling. Even if the bay is not easy to reach, the view from the cliffs here is well worth the effort.
