Dining in the City

As in the rest of the country, the restaurant scene in Valletta is an eclectic mix offering a variety of cuisines to satisfy all tastes and budgets.

A growing number of eateries around the city are now offering local fare, serving their own versions of traditional specialities.

Maltese cuisine is the result of a long relationship between the islanders and the many conquerors who occupied the Maltese Islands over the centuries. This marriage of tastes has given local gastronomy a Mediterranean character all its own.

And nowhere is this mixture of culture and cuisne more strongly felt than in Malta’s cosmopolitan capital.
