Knights Hospitaliers

 

The Knights Hospitalliers is a unique walk-through attraction, dealing with the history and work of the Knights of St John notably as their role as a hospitalise Order of chivalry in the medieval period on the Island.

Beneath the ‘Sacra Infermeria’, as the Holy Infirmary was then known and on the actual site of the historic hospital, visitors will discover the chivalrous world of the hospitalise Knights of Jerusalem, Rhodes and Malta.

With visual effects, visitors can go back in time through the sights and sound of the period. Experiencing the crusades, the Great Siege of 1565, the building of the glorious hospital, the development of surgery, the origins of modern day healthcare and medicine, as well as the ravages of plague, travelling across 700 years of the illustrious history of the Knights of St John.
