Pre and Post Cruise Holidays

Malta is ideal for cruise departures, as it is the gateway to the Mediterranean as well as possessing excellent air flight connections.

Throughout history up until some decades ago most activities in Malta were centred on the Grand Harbour (the largest European natural harbour). Here, Malta welcomes a substantial number of cruise ships a year, as port of calls, turnarounds as well as home porting. Today, the Port of Valletta is one of the top ten cruise ports in the Western Mediterranean Region.

The main cruise terminals are only 20 minutes away from the Malta International airport, which is connected to Europe’s major cities.

The new Valletta Waterfront Cruise terminal is a one-stop shop whereby cruise ships and their passengers can find all their needs catered to.

Check-in and baggage facilities, porterage, tax-free shopping, a tourist information service on site, food and beverage facilities, retail facilities, taxi services as well as a public bus service are all available at the Valletta Waterfront.
