Planning your trip to Malta should not be a difficult task, wherever you start your journey from.<\/p>\n

Being an archipelago in the middle of the Mediterranean limits the options of how one can get to the Maltese Islands to two: by air<\/strong><\/a> or by sea<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Once you get here, however, the options for getting around<\/a><\/strong> are numerous and varied. Public transport<\/strong> is inexpensive and efficient. Renting a car<\/strong> or a motorcycle provides the freedom to explore the territory at your own pace. Hiring a bicycle<\/strong> or mountain bike is the ecological alternative, and at the same time provides some physical exercise whilst touring the island. Then there are taxis<\/strong>, coaches<\/strong> and minivans<\/strong>, horse-drawn carriages<\/strong>, ferries<\/strong>, pleasure cruises<\/strong>, and you can even hop on a seaplane<\/strong> and get a bird’s eye view.<\/p>\n

The options regarding where to stay<\/a><\/strong> are just as numerous. There are hotels<\/strong> of varying categories. There are farmhouses<\/strong> and villas<\/strong>. There are self-catering apartments<\/strong>, guesthouses<\/strong> and hostels<\/strong>. You can stay with a host family<\/strong> or go for a timeshare<\/strong> property. The choices are endless.<\/p>\n

If you need help planning your trip, you can get assistance from tour operators<\/strong><\/a>, travel agents<\/a><\/strong>, tourist guides<\/strong><\/a> and the tourist information offices<\/a><\/strong> around Malta and Gozo.<\/p>\n
