Paola has a small outdoor market which is set up on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in Arcade Street between 6.30 am and 1.00 pm. Clothing, fruit and vegetables are mostly sold from the stalls. This is not one of the main markets; however, Paola has grown to be one of the most important commercial centers of the island particularly for those living in the South of the island. A visit to Paola is not complete without a visit to the Hypogeum.
