A 7000 éves történelemnek köszönhetően Máltán végtelen sok a látnivaló: ne hagyja ki a megalit templomok (Ggantiját, a világ legrégebbi szabadon álló templomát beleértve), a Szent János lovagokhoz kapcsolódó jelentős helyszínek, második világháborús színhelyek, és a történelmi játékok megtekintését. Fort Rinella

British Royal Engineers built Fort Rinella between 1878 and 1886 at a time when the Islands were threatened by the supremacy of the Italian navy. The fort was therefore equipped with a massive 100-ton gun as a coastal battery, designed to become the world’s largest cannon.

The Lascrais War Rooms complex originates from the early stages of WW2 when an old communications tunnel running across under the Upper Barracca Gardens from Battery Street to the Valletta Main Ditch was converted into a Sector Operations Room by the Royal Engineers for Royal Air Force use.
