Liberty International Malta Ltd will be organising a concert by Immanuël at the Archbishop's Seminary in Rabat, Malta on Tuesday, 17th April 2018 at 20.30hrs.

About Immanuël

  • The choir Immanuël was founded in 1980 under the name of Jongerenkoor ASAF.
  • This choir was founded by a young boy who wanted to sing but did not want to join a traditional mixed choir. For four years, the rehearsals were held in a small church hall led by Mart Bolle.
  • In 1984, the name of the choir was changed to Jongerenkoor IMMANUEL. There was also a new conductor, Jan Quintus Zwart. Under the leadership of this conductor, but also because of the commitment and zeal of the members, the choir grew and was able to reach new heights.
  • In the meantime, several CDs were also issued and foreign concert trips made to, among others, Romania, America and Canada and Poland. In short, a choir that grew and flourished and, as we hope, also brought a message to the hearts of people. A message of hope, a message or infinite grace, and a message of love through the blood of Christ.
  • A message we can convey as a choir in our name, IMMANUEL, GOD WITH US.
  • In 1997, the conductor's pole was transferred by Jan Quintus Zwart to the well-known organist and conductor Harm Hoeve, who now conducts the choir in an enthusiastic way.

Aims of this Concert

  • Singing is both an expression of joy during the happy and joyous moments in our lives; but likewise singing is a balm to the soul through the difficult times.
  • Conveying love.
  • A cultural exchange between the Urk Choristers and the Maltese audience.
  • Sharing experiences about the Love of God expressed through music and singing.
  • Exchanging experiences and learning from each other.
  • Bringing joy to the Maltese audience.
  • Admiring Malta's rich culture.
