23/12/2018 - 05/01/2019

It’s that magical time of the year again and MADC is back with their 40th-anniversary pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, written and directed by Malcolm Galea. Starring Michael Mangion as the uproarious Dame, the show will be staged at the MFCC, Ta’ Qali, between 23 and 30 December.

The fun-packed show, set in the Middle Ages, will give an unusual twist to this classic tale of the hero’s journey. Poor Jack desperately longs to become a knight, and – when the girl he loves is taken away by giants – he must summon the courage to make the ultimate transition from zero to hero.

Featuring Michael Mangion as the hilarious Dame, Matthew Ben Attard, Katherine Brown, Joe Depasquale, Christina Despott, Rachel Tedesco Triccas, Audrey Scerri & Sean Briffa. With Maestro Paul Abela once more waving his musical baton, Roger Tirazona will polish up the chorus to terpsichorean perfection and choreographer Francesco Nicodeme will make sure that everything looks better by leaps and bounds. Ray Farrugia will be designing our stunning sets, whilst Izzy Warrington will be creating amazing costumes.

MADC’s Jack and the Beanstalk will be performed at MFCC, Ta’ Qali, at 7.30pm on 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 December 2018 and 3, 4, 5 January 2019, with matinee performances at 3pm on 26, 29, 30 December 2018. Tickets start from €10 (with reduced rates for children aged 3-11, and free tickets for toddlers aged 2 and under) and are available from www.madc.com.mt.
