An exciting programme of Latin-American and Spanish guitar music will feature at the lunchtime concerts by classical guitarist Bernard Catania on Tuesday 26th March 2019 at noon. This concert will be held at the Monastery of St. Augustine in Old Bakery Street Valletta.

The performance boasts of a sparkling and passionate repertoire of mostly 19th century Spanish guitar music. Bernard Catania will perform the renown works of Joaquin Turin, Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albeniz, and Francisco Tarrega, amongst others, who composed their works during this era.  The programme includes inspiring works by 20th century composers, namely, Villa-Lobos, Barrios and Merlin as well as a captivating baroque composition by Gaspar Sanz.

Visitors are encouraged to enjoy a free visit to the interesting chambers of the monastery after the concert. Proceeds from the event will go to the restoration project of the Augustinian Monastery.
